Season 1 Episode 21: Toby & The Stout Gentleman

We start this story with footage of this odd looking little tram traveling around the country side. It is Toby! I loved him as a wee little lass. I have thing for old men. Ringo tells us all about Toby. Toby takes trucks to the mainline and has a coach named Henrietta Pussycat.

Toby are you in Montana?

Henrietta complains about the lack of passengers and goods. She remembers the good ol' days when she had nine trucks behind here. But, now that the mean old lorries are in town they have been taking over. Their jobs have been outsourced.

Toby arrives at a station. There at the platform is a stout gentleman, his lady, and the spawn of spawn. Oh geez, I wonder who can it be?

Who can it be knocking at this tram?

Well I be damned, it is The Fat Controller. Toby doesn't know this yet. The Fat Controller's grandspawn are interested in this square piece of machinery. One of them even asks if he is electric. Which really grinds Toby's gears.

Oh no she didn't?

The grandspawn beg to ride of this weird steam tram. The Fat Controller gives in and they board Henrietta. Toby takes them off.

After the ride, The Fat Controller speaks with Toby and he thanks him for the ride. This causes Toby's eyes to bug out.

The Fat Controller's grandspawn spend everyday of the vacation riding on Toby's train. They even rode in the cab on the last day. Everyone was so sad when it was time to go.

How do these engines cry? How does any of this work?

Months pass and more outsourcing happens. So much, that is time to lock Toby up in a retirement shed. They have a "Farewell Toby, You Sexy Tram" last ride day.

I hope they treat you well in the nursing home

After the ride, the passengers say their goodbyes. Toby is then banished to the shed. But not for long, his crew has good news. They have a letter from the stout man. And then we get cut off. No fair!

No prunes, yay!
