Season 1 Episode 23: Dirty Objects

Today we find out that James is a tram racist. Whenever he sees Toby and Henrietta he calls them, "Dirty objects."

James one day finally makes Toby snap. And what does Toby do to get back at James? Well, he brings up the bootlace incident. I personally would have went with a lot kids think James is a lady but, bootlaces work. 

Oh but you make such a pretty lady.

James snorts off to drop his coaches off and switch to trucks. He was set to pull a slow good train, which he hates more then Toby. They are also dirty.

James goes about picking up more and more trucks until he has a long train. And of course James in his mood, bumps the trucks so roughly they want to pay it forward.

He starts up Gordon's hill where he should have pinned his breaks but, being an angry guy in this episode he forgets it. 

I can't wait for disaster!

James' driver tries to remind James. James just goes on ignoring him. He has to think of the next nasty  thing he can say to Toby. The trucks see their chance and start to push James down the hill.

Oh shit!

James hurls down the hill and through the station. And we see some tar trucks ahead. Disaster is bond to happen. And wait for it.... We get it!

Ah, here it goes!

I must note that this may be the best crash this season/series. James had a lot of bounce in this one.

Luckily or unluckily depending on how you look at it, James is more dirty then hurt. Toby and Percy arrive to help with the clean up. 

Once Toby sees James, he goes in for the kill. He tells Percy, "That he sees a dirty object."

Drum roll please

Toby and Percy help with the clean up and then help a crippled James home. At home, The Fat Controllers pops out of nowhere late in this episode. The Fat Controller mocks James a bit and tells him  that he is too dirty to be seen. And he awards Toby and Henrietta Pussycat new paint. 

Toby unhitches from James and runs off. We are left with the image of James pouting. 

Season 1 Episode 9: Troublesome Trucks

We start off with James in ''Engine Time Out" due to the whole boot lace fiasco. He hasn't been let out of the sheds for days.

But no fear, The Fat Controller is here. He tells James, "He sees that he is sorry. But he has to straighten his red butt up. People are laughing at his railway and he does not like that." 

I honestly think people aren't just laughing because of James. The Fat Controller has a roster of screw up engines to add to that. 

He decides to set James free and let him play with some trucks. 

My mouth says, "Just do it!"

At the station, Thomas is there being cheeky. Shock of my life. Thomas teases James about the boot lace incident and runs off.

James starts once again taking his anger out on the trucks. The trucks do not want to work with a red monster. James takes off with his trucks, they then try to make it as difficult as they can for him in retaliation. 

They keep this up all the way to Gordon's hill. Half way up the hill, half the trucks break loose. 

Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!!

James does not realize this and thinks he has caught a break due to the train becoming easier to pull. The joke is on him. His driver shuts off his steam. 

They back James back down the hill to gather his trucks. My Edward comes along back and asks if James needs some help? James refuses.

James' trucks are coupled back together and he starts again. This time he does it. I wonder how Gordon would feel?

Edward catches up with James at the next station and tells James how well he did.

You should still listen to me James.

And of course, The Fat Controller pops out of nowhere. James is convinced he is going to back hand him. But nah, he was in Edward's train and saw everything. And like that James is no longer in fear of loosing his red coat.  

Season 1 Episode 6: Thomas & The Trucks

Ah night time at sheds, the best time for the engines to whine and put each other down. Tonight it is Thomas' turn. Thomas is tired of pushing coaches, he wants to take his broken wings and learn to fly awaaaaaaayyyyy. The other engines don't really care about Thomas' dreams. I guess then, Thomas was talking to himself. Okay... 

The next night, Edward offers to switch jobs. Thomas would be taking his train and Edward would be pushing coaches. They ask their drivers the next morning, "If they can switch?"
And well and behold, they say, "Yes."
I think Thomas' driver just wanted him to shut up and Edward's didn't feel like going out to far that day.

Henry meanwhile has his eye poked out

Thomas goes off to pick up some trucks. We learn that trucks are real jerks and can not be trusted. They like to break an engine's spirit if they are use to them. Edward has warned Thomas of this. But as we are finding out, Thomas is a little bit too excitable and little derpy for his own good.

Trustworthy individual, eh?

Thomas couples up and tries to leave. The trucks don't want to go. Thomas is upset over their whining. He can't handle someone else whining apparently. Finally he gets them to move. Oh, I wonder what mischief we'll get into?

Thomas pulls a Gordon and goes as fast as he can, ticking off his trucks. He reaches Gordon's hill and decides to slow it down. Thomas slowly climbs the hill. When he reaches the top he tries to brake. The Trucks start bumping and grinding him down the hill. Thomas speeds through a station and into a buffer.

I saw this face once but, it wasn't on an engine

As always, The Fat Controller pops out of nowhere demanding to know why Thomas is there?

Thomas rats out Edward and explains, "He took his trucks and the bratty trucks pushed him down the hill."

The Fat Controller verbally slaps Thomas and tells him, "He has a lot to learn about trucks. And that he is no Edward." (Who could live up to Edward?)

Thomas is forced to work with trucks until he learns to be a "Really Useful Engine". This is Thomas we are speaking of though... 

I tell all my "special" engines they are useful

Season 1 Episode 2: Edward & Gordon

First off, I must say I flipping love Edward. I have since I was little girl. He is adorable even when the other engines are picking on him because he is not as big and is old. 

Oh no, Edward I wish I could hug you.

 The other engines all gang up on him and basically telling him, "To go rot. The Fat Controller is not going want him working." His crew though has a heart and asks Edward, "If he would like to come out?"Edward is all for it. 

The other engines are all butt hurt when Edward puffs out. We get to see Edward work all day. Which is great because, we get to hear the Edward theme. 

That night, Edward is in the sheds telling the other engines about how great he did and that he is going out again in the morning. The other engines give Edward the stank eye. But, Edward being old just falls asleep without notice. 

                                          And the haters going to hate, hate, hate

The next morning Gordon is being a grade A jag off and boasts about his express. Edward is just like, "what evs" and shunts trucks. After shunting his trucks he parks off on the side to rest. But what is this? Oh it is Gordon pulling a Goods Train. Gordon passes Edward complaining the whole time about how he is too good to be pulling a Goods Train. Edward deep down loves it and laughs.

Edward goes off to find some more trucks. But, his fun is cut short. His driver is informed that Gordon the jerk is stuck on a hill and must be saved. I sense this will be happening a lot. 

Edward pulls up to find that Gordon's crew is basically calling him out for being a turd. Edward's driver tells Gordon and his crew that they have came to push. Gordon insists, "That it is no good."

They back Gordon down the hill and buffer up to Edward. They start up the hill. Gordon being his total jerk self complaining up the hill like a prissy teenage girl. Edward is like, "Fine, I will do it. I will do it. You just wait for your nails to dry I'll do all the hard work for you."

Edward gets Gordon to the top of the hill. Gordon takes off forgetting to thank good ol' Edward. Edward goes slowly to the next station and morphs into James, who we aren't suppose to know who that is yet.

So even if Gordon didn't thank Edward, his crew is grateful. They promise Edward a new coat of paint. And Edward will be the most rocking engine on The Island Of Sodor.
